222 bed Cricket Betting — place bets across all formats from T20 to Test
222 bed offers a wide range of betting markets for cricket fans in Bangladesh. From BPL to IPL, T20 World Cup to Test series — you can bet on various markets in every match. This page explains in plain language how odds work and what live betting is.
Cricket's three formats and popular tournaments
Before betting on cricket, it helps to know the formats, because the style of play differs in each one and the available markets change accordingly.
T20: A 20-over match where runs come quickly and the result can swing at any moment. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), IPL and the ICC T20 World Cup are the three tournaments most talked about among Bangladeshi fans. Stars from Bangladesh Tigers play in the BPL, so interest stays high all year round.
ODI: In a 50-over one-day match, the pace and tactics differ from T20. Partnerships, powerplay strategy and middle-over play matter more here.
Test: This five-day format has the most depth of any format. A match can end in a draw, so there are three markets — Team A wins, Team B wins, Draw. Bowling and pitch behaviour play a bigger role here.
Alongside international matches, 222 bed also offers markets for domestic leagues. Visit the sports section of 222 bed Bet to see the full list of active tournaments.
Football and other sports betting
Cricket is the main focus of this page, but 222 bed also offers betting on football and other sports. Football betting typically has three outcomes — Team A wins, Team B wins, and Draw. In limited-overs cricket there is no draw; only two outcomes are possible, which makes the market structure different.
Goal-based markets in football (such as whether both teams will score) are popular, while run-based and wicket-based markets are more common in cricket. Although odds are calculated the same way in both sports, the markets are different, so the approach also differs.
Football
Three-outcome market — win, loss, draw. Handicap and scoreline markets are also available.
3 OutcomesCricket
Two outcomes in T20 and ODI, three outcomes in Test. Run, wicket and over-based markets.
2–3 OutcomesOther Sports
Betting is available on tennis, badminton and several other sports.
Multi-SportPopular cricket betting markets
At 222 bed you can bet on multiple markets within a single cricket match. The most commonly used markets are explained in plain language below.
Match Winner
The simplest and most popular market. Pick which of the two teams will win. Two options in T20 and ODI, three options (including Draw) in Test. Example: Team A at odds 1.80, Team B at odds 2.00 — a ৳500 bet on Team B returns ৳1,000 if Team B wins (৳500 profit); if Team B loses, ৳500 is gone.
Toss Winner
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. This is completely separate from the match result. The toss depends on how the coin lands, so the probability for both teams is roughly equal.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batter will score the most runs for their team. With many options in this market, picking the right player can bring high odds. However, injury or a change in batting order can make the result unpredictable.
Total Runs Over / Under
A bet on whether the total runs scored will be above or below a set number. Say the line for a T20 match is 165 runs — you can choose Over (166+) or Under (164 or fewer). Pitch conditions, weather and the batting strength of the teams all affect this market.
Wicket Market
A bet on how many wickets will fall in an over or across an entire innings. This market becomes particularly interesting on a pitch that suits pace bowlers.
Multi Bet
Selections from multiple matches or markets can be combined into one bet. Example: three selections across three different matches at odds of 1.70, 1.80 and 1.90 — combined odds are 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (approximately). A ৳100 bet returns ৳581 if all three are correct; if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Betting Exchange
Here you can bet against other bettors. Both options are available — BACK (backing a team to win) or LAY (backing a team to lose). For detailed betting rules and account information, read the Terms and Conditions page.
Odds are written in three ways
Odds on betting sites appear in three formats — Decimal, Fractional and American. All three express the same probability; only the way they are written differs. Two practical examples below explain the difference.
Example 1 — Team A wins
Bet: ৳200 | Team A to win
| Format | Odds |
|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 |
| Fractional | 3/2 |
| American | +150 |
If Team A wins, you receive ৳500 back (৳300 profit + ৳200 original stake). If Team A loses, ৳200 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B is the favourite
Bet: ৳200 | Team B to win
| Format | Odds |
|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.50 |
| Fractional | 1/2 |
| American | -200 |
If Team B wins, you receive ৳300 back (৳100 profit + ৳200 original stake). American minus odds mean you need to bet ৳200 to win ৳100.
Decimal format is the simplest — multiply the odds figure directly by your stake to get the total return. In fractional format, the left side of the fraction is the profit and the right side is the stake. In American format, a plus (+) sign means that amount is the profit on a ৳100 bet, while a minus (−) sign means how much you need to bet to win ৳100.
When a wicket falls, live betting odds shift
Live in-play betting means placing bets while the match is in progress. If wickets fall quickly during the powerplay in the first innings, the odds against that team lengthen and the odds in their favour shorten. In the same way, a big hitter coming in during the final overs can shift the odds.
In live betting, markets update after every over. At certain moments the market briefly suspends — such as just after a wicket falls or during a DRS review. Live betting therefore requires concentration and the ability to make quick decisions.
Live betting is even more convenient on mobile — follow the match and place bets from anywhere with the 222 bed App.
Some practical tips before you start betting
Cricket betting is a form of entertainment. The tips below are drawn from the common habits of experienced bettors.
Set a budget first
Keep a separate budget for each session. It is better not to go beyond that amount. Betting is for entertainment, not as a source of income.
Start with one market
New bettors should focus on the match winner market only to begin with. Betting on many markets at once increases confusion.
Compare odds
Look at the odds across different markets for the same match. Decimal format makes it easy to see which market offers a better return.
Be careful with multi bets
Multi bets offer higher odds, but if any one selection is wrong the entire stake is lost. Try it out with a small amount first.
Play responsibly
Chasing losses by increasing your bet after a loss is not a good idea. To learn more about responsible betting, visit the Responsible Gaming page.
